Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the MotorMatch website (motormatch.co.za) or submitting an enquiry through any of our channels, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and clients of MotorMatch. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
About MotorMatch
MotorMatch is a car brokerage service based in South Africa. We act as an intermediary between car buyers ("clients") and licensed motor vehicle dealerships ("dealerships"). Our role is to:
- Receive vehicle enquiries from clients
- Source suitable vehicles from our dealership network on behalf of clients
- Communicate offers, availability, and pricing from dealerships to clients
- Facilitate the documentation process required for vehicle finance applications
- Coordinate the finalisation of the vehicle purchase between the client and the dealership
ℹ️ MotorMatch is not a motor vehicle dealer. We do not own, sell, or transfer vehicles directly. All vehicle transactions are concluded between the client and the relevant licensed dealership.
Our Services
MotorMatch provides the following services:
- Vehicle sourcing — we source new and used vehicles from our dealership network based on your requirements
- Dealer liaison — we handle all communication with the dealership on your behalf
- Finance facilitation — we assist with the submission of documentation required for bank finance applications through the dealership
- Deal coordination — we coordinate between you and the dealership from enquiry through to signing
Service Fees
MotorMatch charges a service fee for successfully facilitated vehicle purchases. The following applies:
- A flat client service fee is payable by the client upon successful purchase of a vehicle through MotorMatch: R1,000 for vehicles priced under R500,000, R1,500 for vehicles priced between R500,000 and R1,000,000, and R2,000 for vehicles priced over R1,000,000
- All fees will be clearly communicated to the client before any commitment is made
- No fees are charged for submitting an enquiry or browsing available stock
- No fees are payable if a suitable vehicle is not found or if the client chooses not to proceed
⚠️ You will never be charged any fee without prior written or verbal agreement. There is no obligation to proceed at any stage of the process.
Client Responsibilities
As a client of MotorMatch, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information when submitting an enquiry or application
- Supply all required documentation timeously (ID document, bank statements, payslip) when requested
- Notify us promptly if your requirements or circumstances change
- Not engage directly with the dealership introduced to you by MotorMatch, bypassing our services, for a period of 6 months from the date of introduction
- Honour any commitments made to the dealership through MotorMatch
No Guarantee of Finance Approval
MotorMatch facilitates the submission of finance applications to banks and financial institutions via dealerships. However, we cannot guarantee that finance will be approved. Finance approval is at the sole discretion of the relevant bank or financial institution based on your credit profile and financial standing.
MotorMatch will not be held liable for any loss, inconvenience, or expense arising from a declined finance application.
Vehicle Availability and Pricing
Vehicles displayed on our website are subject to availability and may change without notice. Prices shown are indicative and are sourced from dealerships at the time of listing. Final pricing is confirmed by the dealership and may differ from listed prices.
MotorMatch does not guarantee the availability of any specific vehicle and will not be held liable for any loss arising from a vehicle becoming unavailable after an enquiry has been submitted.
Limitation of Liability
MotorMatch acts as a facilitator and intermediary only. We are not party to the contract of sale between the client and the dealership. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- MotorMatch is not liable for any defects, faults, or issues with any vehicle purchased through our referral
- MotorMatch is not liable for any misrepresentation made by a dealership
- MotorMatch is not liable for any delays in the vehicle purchase process caused by the dealership or financial institution
- MotorMatch's total liability to any client shall not exceed the service fee paid by that client
Consent to Share Information
By submitting an enquiry or signing any MotorMatch form, you explicitly consent to MotorMatch sharing your personal information with relevant dealerships and financial institutions, strictly for the purpose of sourcing and financing your vehicle.
This consent is limited to the parties directly involved in your vehicle transaction. Your information will not be shared for any other purpose. Please refer to our About Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your personal information in accordance with POPIA.
Intellectual Property
All content on the MotorMatch website, including but not limited to the logo, brand name, design, text, and layout, is the property of MotorMatch and may not be reproduced, copied, or used without our prior written consent.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of our services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
